Xeomin Injectable

What is Xeomin?

Years of showing facial expressions can result in the formation of lines and wrinkles, especially during muscle contractions. One common area of concern is frown lines, those indents between your brows. Xeomin is FDA-approved for the treatment of frown lines between the brows. The injectable treatment uses botulinum toxin to reduce nerve activity in the muscles, temporarily blocking contractions to diminish the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

August Special!

During treatment with Xeomin, a thin needle will be used to inject the target area. Several points around the forehead and brows will be selected to receive Xeomin for significant improvement of frown lines. The exact number of injections you will need will depend on the severity of your lines and wrinkles. Just one session is needed for effective results.

Who is a Candidate for Xeomin?

Those who experience moderate to severe lines in the upper face such as lines between the eyebrows can benefit from treatment with Xeomin. Because Xeomin contains no additives, it is a great solution for those who are allergic to ingredients in Botox other than botulinum toxin A. Xeomin is effective at treating lines in the upper face that are caused by muscle contractions, but if your wrinkles are present in the lower face or when the muscles are relaxed, you may benefit more from fillers. Your plastic surgeon can examine your facial lines to ensure that you are a candidate for Xeomin.

Recovery and Results

After treatment with Xeomin, there is little to no required downtime and patients can return to their regular activity. Side effects can include bleeding and bruising at the injection site. Patients can experience the results of Xeomin within a week with smoothed lines between the brows and a more youthful appearance. The results can last up to six months before a touch-up session is needed.
