What is Coolsculpting?
Coolsculpting a nonsurgical and noninvasive option for stubborn fat removal. The treatment works by delivering a controlled cooling to the problem area, freezing and killing fat cells. Those fat cells can then be safely and naturally processed and permanently eliminated by your body.
Who is a Candidate?
Both men and women who suffer with stubborn fat can benefit from a Coolsculpting treatment. Although CoolSculpting can take inches off your body, it is not meant to be a weight loss solution. Therefore, candidates should only use CoolSculpting if they are within their ideal body weight and just need some help with stubborn fat that can’t be eliminated with diet and exercise alone. Common target areas include the abdomen, flanks, thighs, upper arms, and under the chin.
The CoolSculpting Procedure
Your Coolsculpting procedure process will begin with a consultation to ensure that you are a candidate and to develop your customized treatment plan. Your treatment plan might consist of multiple sessions depending on the extent of your stubborn fat and the areas it covers. To begin your CoolSculpting treatment, a gel pad is applied to the target area and an applicator is used to deliver controlled cooling. Your aesthetician will use just the right temperature to destroy fall cells while keeping healthy tissue unharmed. You might feel an intense cooling in the first few minutes, but once the area goes numb you can sit back and enjoy a comfortable fat reducing process. The procedure time depends on the area(s) treated.
Results and Recovery
Coolsculpting requires little to no downtime because it is completely nonsurgical. Most patients do not have any problem returning to daily activity and even work. It is normal to experience some temporary redness, swelling, tingling, and bruising following your CoolSculpting session. These should resolve in a few days to a week.
You can begin to experience the results of your CoolSculpting session as soon as three weeks after treatment, with more significant results after two months. During this time, your body will be eliminating the dead fat cells to give you a slimmer, well-contoured figure. Once fat cells are eliminated they can’t come back, making CoolSculpting results long-lasting as long as you maintain a healthy weight through diet and exercise.
